NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The North Plainfield Board of Education swore in one returning member and two new members at its first meeting of the year and century on Thursday. Bianka Butler was unanimously chosen as president of the board for 2020 and Sandra Dodd was unanimously chosen as vice president.

Returning member Thomas Allen, and newcomers Dr. Mark Kruszczynski, and Alba Soto were sworn in by Don Sternberg, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary North Plainfield School District. 

North Plainfield Mayor Michael Giordano congratulated all and held the Bible for Allen’s swearing in. ( see video here) Kruszczynski and Soto each were accompanied by one of their children who held their Bibles . ( See video here and here)

The Borough of North Plainfield did not have municipal elections this year.
