The Warriors were 14-12 in the ever challenging Skyland Delaware, taking 3rd place behind state champion Franklin and private school powerhouse Gill St Bernards in 2018-19.  They finished the year defeating 3 teams with 20 wins as part of their season.  Graduating two letter winners, the Warriors bring back a key nucleus of seniors that have much game experience over their four years in the program.  Consistency and ability to handle the height of the Skyland Conference as well as out of conference opponents will be key to their success. The Warriors tallest player is 5’8” “Players who have competed in big games and up and coming players will need to take on more prominent roles for this Warrior team to be successful,” said WHRHS head coach Reece Kirchofer.

Kirchofer’s OUTLOOK FOR 2019-20

With 4 starters returning (Baltuch, Santo, Glasser-Nehls, and Jenkins) the Warriors will be looking for experience to lead the way.  Scoring punch from Bella Murray and Caitlin Bonnesen will also be needed as well to ignite the offense.  McFadden, Allen, and Morris will provide key role performances and the hard work required on defense. The Lady Warriors hope to stay fiery on the offensive end, and use valuable experience earned from big games last season.  Mahogany Jenkins, an uber athlete, (Indiana for track in 2020) will need to hit double-double figures every night. Team chemistry with this squad will be paramount and will be spearheaded by 4 year varsity starter and point guard Jayden Baltuch (Emory).  Baltuch and Santo provide court savvy and outside shooting touch, while Glasser-Nehls brings exceptional work ethic on both sides of the ball.
