BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Today, February 13th 2019, at exactly 3:25 pm, a possible child-luring incident occurred near Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights. A 15-year old female Governor Livingston student was approached near the intersection of Mercer Road and Watchung Boulevard directly across from the main entrance driveway to Governor Livingston High School.

A large, white delivery box-truck type vehicle occupied by two males, pulled up alongside the student while she was walking to a friend’s parked vehicle on Mercer Road and the driver rolled down the window, winked at her, and said “Come in.” The student did not reply, ran away from the vehicle, and entered her friend’s vehicle. The suspect truck then drove away, made a K-turn at the top of Mercer Road near the high school, and drove by the student and her friend in the parked vehicle again with no further interaction.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with dark medium-length hair and dark eyebrows. The truck is described as all-white on the box portion with possible dark writing or logo on the cab doors.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Detective Sergeant Jason Massimino of the Berkeley Heights Police Department at (908) 464-1111.
