Iden brought his HP Envy Notebook to an electronics store in Bridgewater to be repaired last year on Sept. 13th. The technical support team, Robertson said, found sexually-explicit images of children on it and contacted law enforcement.

A search warrant was obtained for the computer, Robertson said, and the New Jersey Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory conducted a forensic examination of Iden's computer. The examination, Robertson said, found Internet browsing artifacts indicative of Iden's attempts to search for child pornography.

At 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5, Robertson said, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Special Investigations Unit and officers from Bridgewater Township Police Department found Iden in his Hillsborough home and arrested him for attempted possession of child pornography.

Iden was taken to Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
