“We’re very happy we could top off Senior Night with a solid, convincing win to start our run in the state playoffs,” said WHRHS assistant coach Jeff Dealaman. “Our eight seniors have worked hard for and deserve all of the accolades they’ve earned over the past four years. It was fun to celebrate them tonight. We didn’t play our best game but we eventually got rolling and it was great to see all of the seniors that played score and contribute to the win tonight. With Coach K missing the game being under the weather and Lex Santo out with an injury, this win was for them tonight.
We worked hard all year to earn the #1 seed and play on our home court throughout the state tournament so we look forward to our second round game with North Hunterdon on Thursday.”
Watchung Hills (21-5) faces North Hunterdon in the quarterfinals at home on Thursday. Watchung Hills defeated North Hunterdon 54-30 in the regular season.
