WARREN, NJ -Senior Mahogany Jenkins double-doubled with 15 points and 10 rebounds and added six steals to lead Watchung Hills over Ridgewood on Friday, 59-35. Alexa Santo pitched in 15 points and 5 rebounds and  Jayden Baltuch added 8 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists for the Warriors. Caitlin Bonnesen tallied 6 points and 5 steals for Watchung Hills.

Courtney McKenna paced Ridgewood with 8 points.

“The end of a grueling 4 game week with a performance expected of our team,” said WHRHS head coach Reece Kirchofer.  “Big lift from Mahogany in the second half with her work around the basket and terrific free throw shooting. A new defensive zone tactic also proved effective, the sign of a veteran team.  Down a few players to injury it was nice to have a few younger players who work all year at practice find some time at the varsity level.  Some much needed rest physically and mentally before we play another exceptional opponent in Gill St. Bernard’s on Tuesday.”

Watchung Hills is now 16-2 on the season and next travels to Gill St. Bernard’s on Tuesday with a 5:30 p.m. tip.
