Fleming Grapples Way to Tourney Title

MAHOPAC, N.Y.— North Salem senior Jesse Fleming captured the 195-pound title at the Peter Caruso Memorial Tournament at Mahopac High School on Jan. 28.

Fleming defeated Middletown’s Julies Oquendo 16-7 in the championship match.

To get to the finals, Fleming pinned Stepinac’s Kenny Wilson in 3:13. He scored a 15-second pin in the quarterfinals.
