North Salem Baseball Wins Second Straight Section Title

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. - North Salem's baseball team won its second consecutive Section 1 title by defeating top-seeded Tuckahoe 7-2 in the Class C final on Saturday at Dutchess Stadium. 

Connor Mahoney was named the MVP and earned the win on the hill, tossing 5.2 innings while striking out 12.

Rian Balbino came on in relief to earn the save, pitching the final 1.1 innings. He also had an RBI single.

Nate Carminucci's two-run single got the second-seeded Tigers out to a 2-0 first-inning lead. Jesse Fleming added an RBI single and Anthony D'Innocenzo had a sacrifice fly.

North Salem's Adam Concadoro received the Players Player Award.
