North Salem Edges Hamilton in Class C Final

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Second-seeded North Salem defeated No. 4 Alexander Hamilton 61-57 in the Section 1 Class C boys basketball final on Saturday at the Westchester County Center.

Tourney MVP Chris Alterio paced the Tigers with 29 points and 12 rebounds. He scored 22 of his 29 in the first half.

Miles D'Alessandro added 13 points and was named to the all-tournament team. John Martabano added eight points.

North Salem will face Section 9's Millbrook in the Class C regionals on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at SUNY New Paltz.
