North Salem Girls Come Up Short in Opening Hoops Tourney

NORT SALEM, N.Y.-No. 11-seeded North Salem lost to No. 6 Edgemont 47-43 on the road in the opening round of the Section 1 Class B girls basketball tournament on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The Tigers, who defeated Edgemont early in the regular season back in December, trailed 34-29 heading into the fourth quarter but took a 36-35 lead with just 4:50 remaining.

North Salem finished the season with a record of 11-10.
