The annual meeting of the North Salem Historical Society (NSHS) was a history buff’s dream come true. While the evening’s presentation of old photographs and stories of when the area was a patchwork of dairy farms linked by dirt roads were enough to satisfy, organizers said the dinner was the highlight of the evening.
“The potluck dinner has been a popular feature of our meeting,” said trustee Mike Chaves. “Members proudly prepare some of their signature dishes for everybody to enjoy. We contact our members in advance and make an effort to get a variety of dishes from appetizers through desserts.”
