NORTH SALEM, N.Y.— State Police in Somers have arrested a North Salem man following a domestic dispute on Peach Lake Drive.
Officials were called to the home Jan. 30 for a report of two damaged vehicles that were parked outside a home.
Troopers interviewed 29-year-old Matthew Hagan in connection with the incident, and charged him with 1st degree criminal contempt and 3rd degree criminal mischief, both felonies. He was also charged with 4th degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
Police say the criminal contempt charge was for allegedly violating an order of protection banning him from having contact with the person involved.
Hagan was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail. He is due to appear in North Salem Court at a later date.
