The North Salem Foundation for Learning held its annual awards night recently where it gave out 11 annual scholarships to graduating seniors, selected by faculty in the areas of English, Social Studies, Math, Science, World Language, Visual Arts, Technology, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, BOCES, and the President’s Scholarship Award. The following students received awards:
Alex Garcia, Visual Arts Award presented by Ms. Diana Marinovic; Julianna Austin, Vocal Music Award presented by Mr. Doug Coates; Julia Balch, Science Award presented by Mr. Paul Rubeo; Stella Ard, English Award presented by Ms. Kylie McCarron; Jessica Reiner, BOCES Award presented by Dr. William Brightman; Jonah D’Alessandro, World Language Award presented by Mr. Colm O’Callaghan; Christopher Dolce, Social Studies Award presented by Mr. Robert Mittelstadt; Edward Fiscella, Instrumental Music Award presented by Dr. Melissa Abramo; Trevor Scheuing, Mathematics Award presented by Ms. Ellen Falk; Benjamin Leicht, President’s Award presented by Dr. Nick Kowgios; Kevin Connolly, Technology Award presented by Mr. Ron Hendrie.

The Mission of the North Salem Foundation for Learning is to foster scholastic excellence in the North Salem Central School District by awarding scholarships and funding unique student/faculty projects, which are outside the scope of the traditional budget.
