North Salem, N.Y. - Supervisor Warren Lucas told the community on Thursday, March 19, that a person has tested positive for COVID-19 in North Salem.

The numbers continue to grow in Westchester County, Lucas said, and those numbers may be lower than the actual number of infected people because of a delay in reporting between the state Department of Health and the County.

Local hospitals are being “overrun with patients,” Lucas said in the Facebook post and again urged people to stay home.

More information about the positive case in North Salem was not immediately available.
