Incumbent Maria Hlushko defeated William Morin handily on Nov. 5, according to unofficial election results.      

Republican Hlushko won with 717 votes to challenger Democrat Morin’s 467 votes for the 4-year term.

Hlushko, a North Salem native, has served as the Town Clerk since January, when she was elected to fill an unexpired term. Before that, she had been the confidential secretary to the town supervisor since 2004. She currently serves as captain of the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a position she has held since 2010.
