DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – North Salem’s 13-game winning streak, and their season, came to an end with a 57-45 loss to Dobbs Ferry in the second round of the Section 1 Class B boys basketball tournament.
Down 36-32 after three quarters, the sixth-seeded Tigers kept it close at No. 3 Dobbs Ferry.
North Salem tied the score at 42 with about four minutes to play, but the Eagles ended the game on a 15-3 run, securing a spot in the semifinals at the Westchester County Center.
Leading the way for North Salem in defeat were Anthony Foglia (10 points, 8 rebounds), Roger Squire (9 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals), Kevin Ryan (10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals) and Steven Herlihy (9 points). Mike Horan (4 points, 2 rebounds) and Christian Norberto (3 points, 5 rebounds) also helped keep it close.
