BELMAR, NJ — Traditional German food, music and a beer garden will highlight Belmar’s third annual Octoberfest on Sunday, October 8, slated from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festivities will be held on Main Street between Eighth and 10th Avenues, where there will be a wide variety of food and craft vendors, a beer garden, kids’ activities, games and contests. Entertainment will be provided by the Jingleheimer Oompah Band, a five-piece traditional German band specializing in polkas, waltzes and marches.
Beach Haus Brewery will have tours of its facility throughout the day, featuring four German-style varieties of beer. From noon to 3 p.m., Philadelphia’s own Polakdelphia will get everyone in the mood for some “oom-pah” music at the brewery, located at Main Street and Eighth Avenue.
Hosted by the Belmar Tourism Commission, the free event will be held rain or shine. Please note that only individuals age 21 or older will be permitted in the beer garden.
