PARAMUS, NJ - A county sheriff's officer has been arrested and charged with forgery, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor, and has been suspended without pay.

Officer Peter Servidio, 41, a Paramus resident, was arrested on March 30 after presenting a forged document on March 29 to members of the Bergen County Sheriff's Office who were verifying documention he provided to Bergen County Sheriff's Office of Professional Standards.

Bergen County Prosecutor Musella said the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
