NUTLEY, NJ - Chef Jesse Jones will join three other chefs to judge the first Essex County Chopped Competition at Nutley High School Friday April 28.
Students from two campuses of the Essex County Vocational Technical Schools will compete against two teams from Nutley High Schools in a Chopped-style elimination format featuring three rounds of competition. The students will compete in the appetizer, entrée, and dessert rounds.
The competition will be filmed and live streamed on YouTube. Judges for the competition are Chef Mike Carrino of Pig and Prince in Montclair, Chef Jesse Jones, Shadeeshah Perry of Pro Star, and Chef Ryan DePersio of Batello in Jersey City. The Nutley Park ShopRite donated all of the supplies for the competion.
