NUTLEY, NJ - Sunday marks the third year that the Nutley Farmers Market will host a qualifying round for the sixth annual statewide 'Perfect Peach Pie' contest. The contest itself is sponsored by the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council and is open to everyone including residents of nearby communities. Bakers of any age are invited to compete.

Bakers should deliver their peach pies or cobblers and printed recipe to the Greenutley table at the Nutley Farmers Market, Muni Lot #9, 537 Franklin Avenue (parking in Lots No. 7 & No. 9 behind Bella Luce) between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
By participating, you agree to have your recipe published by the Council on their website jerseypeaches.com and in related communications as well as by the Nutley Farmers Market, Greenutley, and the Township of Nutley in any/all communication and promotion channels.
Judging Judges will begin tasting pies at 11:00 a.m. and one winner will be announced after the tastings and deliberation conclude.
The winner selected by the judges will go on to compete for a $300 grand prize in a second round of judging (date and northern NJ location to be announced) awarded by the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council.
The grand prize winner will also have his or her recipe published by the Council on their website jerseypeaches.com and in related communications.

The winner of ths year's contest will move on to the regional competition.
The Nutley Farmers Market takes place every Sunday through the end of October in Ciccolini parking lot on Franklin Ave from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a large municipal lot just behind the market, access is alongside Bella Luce. There is no meter enforcement on Sundays.
