NUTLEY, NJ — The West Orange girls soccer team had more firepower in a game with a lot of offense, defeating Nutley, 4-3, on Thursday.

The Mountaineers built a 3-1 lead by halftime, then had to hold on as Nutley made a charge to come within a goal in the second half.

Emma Mitchell scored two goals for West Orange (3-2). Jaiden Schultz finished with one goal and two assists. Gianna Festino scored a goal, and Tori Rideau-Winds and Kaya Schultz each had assists in the win.
