HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Mother Nature showed a wide range of emotions Friday night.
She was blustery and defiant, delivering a fast moving rain storm that forced cancellation of Friday night's Hillsborough Rotary Fair, accompanied by flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.
She was also considerate, with the rain helping to clear out the oppressive humidity that had hung over the state since early morning.
Then, Mother Nature finished off the evening with an artistic flair, delivering a spectacular sunset, setting the stage for what looks like a great weekend to be outdoors, with blue skies and temperatures in the mid-80s to 90 expected.
The Rotary Fair will be open from 6-11 p.m. Saturday, and 2-7 p.m. Sunday on the fairgrounds alongside the Loew's at the Hillsborough Promenade, 315 Route 206 North.
