MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair has issued an urgent call for turkey donations.
Pantry Director Mike Bruno reports that turkey donations for 2016 are behind what was donated last year. The pantry also needs cranberry sauce and pie fillings, but the most urgent need is turkey.
The pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday Nov. 21 and 22 for donation drop offs.
The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair is located at 9 Label St. in Montclair. It is the building next to the Egan and Sons parking lot.
The Human Needs Food Pantry serves several hundred families in Essex County. Food is delivered to homebound seniors and the mobility challenged. All clients of the pantry must meet qualification criteria to become eligible for supplemental nutrition assistance.
