NEWARK, NJ - Karen O'Malley filed her petition with Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin today to challenge the incumbents to serve on the Nutley Board of Education. 

"I look forward to sharing my vision for our district and would appreciate your vote for me as your new board of education trustee." O'Malley told TAPinto Nutley.

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12.  The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include the Lincoln School, the Radcliffe School, the Spring Garden School, the Washington School and the Yantacaw School.  The John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12. 

The Board of Education election will be on the November ballot.
