NUTLEY, NJ - The Nutley Farmers Market opens for the 2018 season at a new location with some new faces joining the lineup of favorites. Opening day is Sunday June 17, the market will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Municipal Lot No. 9 in behind Bella Luce.
Each week, the market hosts a walk and talk featuring a special guest speaker. For opening day, Mayor Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli will lead the discussion on the walk. Interested parties should meet at the market at 8:15 a.m., the walk will start shortly thereafter and return to the market about an hour later. The mayor will also be available in the market for the rest of the day.
Vendors that will be in the market all season include: Asprocolas Acres, Empanada Lady, Gourmet Fruit and Nuts, Hoboken Farms, The Juice Pushers, Pallotta Hot Sauce, Pickles, Olives, Etc. Tea Thyme Sweet & Savory. and Treelicious Orchards. Over the course of the season there will be several featured vendors who make a guest appearance a few times during the season, they include, Cheese Between, Estrog, Rooted Pear and Pure Potential Power.
The Nutley Public Library will be at the Nutley Farmers Market on the first Sunday of each month this season. Author Anita Iaco will be signing her book “Let’s Vote! A Fruitful Election Tale” this summer at at date still to be determined.
