BLOOMFIELD, NJ -  With the budget impasse behind us, residents of the Garden State are learning that government is about more than just a day at the beach. The township of Bloomfield will receive an additional $1.96 million dollars from the State of New Jersey.

"The recently passed state budget includes nearly $2 million in additional school funding for Bloomfield, a major victory for both our students who will have greater resources and our taxpayers who will be shouldering a lighter burden. Our schools have long been underfunded by state aid, but this increase is a step in the right direction. I would like to thank the legislative leaders and advocates who made this possible."
