NUTLEY, NJ - The Nutley Police Department reported multiple 'Theft from Vehicle' incidents on Stewart Avenue on Thursday. 

According to the police department there were three incidents on Stewart Avenue reported on June 1. The first report was made by a Nutley citizen, the other two incidents were discovered by police as they were canvassing the area in response to the first report.

In the first incident the victim reported a theft to the police. Their report stated that someone opened the vehicle during the night and took several items.

While investigating the first incident, the police discovered a New Jersey driver's permit. Police checked the address and found that the victim's vehicle was entered.

While still in the area, police discovered a third vehicle that had been rummaged through.
