NUTLEY, NJ - Lisa Danchak-Martin, Frederick Scalera, and Salvatore Ferraro filed petitions today with Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin to seek reelection to serve on the Nutley Board of Education.

The deadline for filing for the election is not until the end of July. "You guys are early, I love it" exclaimed Durkin as the trio submitted their petitions in the county clerk's office in Newark.

Scalera and Danchak-Martin have served two terms on the Nutley Board of Education. This is Ferraro's second time to run for a full term. Prior to being elected to the board, he served by appointment to fill a seat that was vacant after another BOE member stepped down.

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12.  The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include the Lincoln School, the Radcliffe School, the Spring Garden School, the Washington School and the Yantacaw School.  The John H.
