NUTLEY, NJ - The Nutley Board of Education will formally vote on a resolution to approve the Cooperative Sports Program with South Orange Maplewood School District to allow district’s students who wish to participate to join the Nutley Public Schools ice hockey team. The measure is expected to be approved at the May 22 Nutley BOE meeting. 

The board of education of South Orange - Maplewood (SOMA) approved a the plan for the cooperative sports program at their May 15 meeting. The program is also expected to be approved by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA). The Super Essex Conference league has approved the measure.

Asking all NHS hockey parents and players to attend the Monday, May 22nd BOE meeting (630pm) and wear your NHS jersey/shirt! BOE will be officially voting on the Cooperative Sports Program with South Orange Maplewood School District. Come show your support!!! Don't forget the Booster Club meeting will also be held that night at 8pm.

The Board of Education meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the John H. Walker Middle School auditorium.

The Booster Club meeting will take place at 8 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Building.
