NUTLEY, NJ - Commissioner Alphonse Petracco will be running for a fourth term serving the residents of Nutley. The lifelong Nutleyite is the owner of a successful family business and is the Director of Public Safety.
Petracco is currently serving his third term as a commissioner in the Essex County township. His first four year term was in 2008. In 2012, Petracco was reelected, and as the recipient of the most votes, became mayor serving in Nutley's top office until 2016. In the 2016 election, he was reelected to serve as a commissioner.
Petracco told TAPinto Nutley that his experience and leadership, combined with his business skills, will see that On3, the redevelopment project on the former Roche campus, brings Nutley the highest ratables.
Nutley is lead by five commissioners overseeing specific areas of the township: Public Safety, Public Works, Revenue and Finance, Parks and Recreation, and Public Affairs. Nutley Commissioner Steve Rogers, the current director of Public Affairs, will not seek reelection when his term expires.
TAPinto Nutley will continue to cover the election, and reelection plans, of the Nutley Board of Commissioners.
