NUTLEY, NJ - Nutlley High School's production of Disney's Newsies opened Thursday night at John H. Walker Middle Middle School. Some tickets are still available for the Friday March 8 and Saturday March 9 performances. All shows are at 7 p.m.

Disney's NEWSIES, based on the Newsboys Strike of 1899, tells the story of Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy with big dreams, and his fellow newsies as they take action against their greedy boss, newspaper mogul Joseph Pulitzer.

Residents who attened the 41st Annual Nutley Irish American Association St. PAtrick's Day parade last week got a mini-priview of Newsies when some members of the cast had a flash mob in front of the middle school. (see the video)
