NUTLEY, NJ - Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo issued an alert to all Nutley residents after two men robbed a Nutley woman earlier today.

At 4:00 p.m. Friday, police responded to a home on the North end of Washington Ave following a a 911 call. A woman was unloading groceries,  was approached by an unidentified man who then forcefully pulled her handbag from her arm.

The man entered a dark colored four door sedan and fled on Washington Avenue towards Clifton Commons. The car is believed to be either a Honda or Toyota.

The first man is described as approx.. 6'00 tall medium build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with scarf covering his face. No description was given for the driver.
