MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Community FoodBank of New Jersey hosted its 6th Annual Chefs Tableside Dinner at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown on Thursday, November 1. Fifteen talented chefs donated their time to create an unforgettable culinary experience for 150 attendees at the FoodBank’s most intimate annual fundraiser.

The event raised close to $130,000 for the FoodBank, enough funds to provide over 400,000 meals for New Jersey neighbors in need.

“The Chefs Tableside Dinner is one of the FoodBank’s most beloved annual fundraisers,” said Carlos M. Rodriguez, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “Thanks to the support of The Westin Governor Morris, Blue Morel Restaurant, the featured chefs and their teams, and all of the generous donors, the funds raised will make an incredible impact for our hungry neighbors, especially as the holiday season approaches.”

During the event, the chefs prepared unique five-course menus for tables of ten guests each with wine pairing. The evening also featured a wine pull and silent and live auctions, with all proceeds benefitting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Students from the FoodBank’s Food Service Training Academy, a 15-week culinary and life skills program for those in need of a second chance, gained hands-on experience by supporting chefs at the event.
