STAFFORD - The Ocean County chapter of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh will again be hosting the Ocean County Irish Festival. The event will take place at the Manahawkin Lake Park in Manahawkin for the second consecutive year. .
The event happens all on one big day, Saturday, September 8. Please mark your calendars to attend this incredible event. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Ocean County Irish Festival is a family event which will include live music, pipe bands, step dancers, kids activities, food trucks, vendors, and a beer tent.

Last year's Irish Fest was a huge success. This year we will have more food vendors, more entertainment, and more fun. This is a family event with a great kids playground for the children to enjoy.
The event this year is "free" to the public. This is the second straight year the festival has offered free admission.
"Big Joe Henry" from NJ 101.5 FM, last year's 2017 "Irishman of the Year" will again be broadcasting live from the festival.
United States Congressman Tom MacArthur will be honored as the 2018 "Irishman of the Year."
There is a Super 50/50 drawing and those tickets can be purchased before or during the festival. There will be 50/50 drawings all throughout the day.
There will be a great variety of Irish musical performances honoring Irish heritage throughout the day. There also will be performances by Irish step dancers and the Ocean County Pipe and Drum Band.
The Order of The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, Ocean County is a fraternal organization of men of Irish descent, created to promote Irish Heritage.
