NUTLEY, NJ -
Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci has announced registration for the 2017 Lacrosse Season. Lacrosse is considered one of the fastest growing team sports in the U.S. This exhilarating sport combines basketball, soccer and hockey all in one. But maybe the best incentive to join is that there is no prior experience necessary to participate in this growing sport. “Along with learning the basic fundamentals of the sport you will also begin to develop speed, coordination and agility” states Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.
This program is open to Nutley Residents in grades 3 through 8. The Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation will be holding registration on Sunday, January 29, 2017 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Department (Gym), 44 Park Ave.
Youngsters interested in participating must provide their own certified helmet, stick, colored mouth guard, game jersey and shorts. A fee of $80.00 per person will be payable at the time of registration.
If you would like further information please contact the Department of Parks and Recreation at (973)284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
