BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield Police Director Samuel DeMaio confirmed to TAPinto Bloomfield that an individual wanted for a Newark homicide committed suicide as authorities were attempting to make an arrest. The suspect, who was staying with friends at 12 Andrew Court Bloomfield, was a resident of Newark.

According to DeMaio, officers from the Essex County Prosecutors Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Newark Division, went to the home to make the arrest. Bloomfield Police were also on the scene. 

The suspect committed suicide while police were outside the house.
