NUTLEY, NJ - Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen is coming to the Nutley - Clifton border sometime later this year. The quick service restaurant known for friend chicken is biscuits is planned for a former bank building on Main Avenue Clifton, just over the border from Nutley. The location is near Nutley Pool and Spa.

Founded in New Orleans in 1972, the restaurant has grown to more than 2,600 restaurants in 40 states and 30 countries around the globe.

Anthony Bourdain, David Chang (Momofuko) and Dale Talde are among the upscale chefs who count Popeye's among their favorite places to dine. The late Paul Prudhomme is said to have been a fan of Popeye's fried chicken as well.
