NUTLEY, NJ - Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo are advising township residents to be vigilant with securing valuables and locking their vehicles.

Early this morning Tuesday 10/17/17 Nutley Police Apprehended two 20 y/o men one from Passaic and one from Clifton on Orange St in possession of various items that did not belong to them. Through investigation it was determined, they possessed proceeds belonging to numerous Clifton residents. They provided false information to police and were subsequently arrested.

At this time it does not appear that they entered any vehicles in Nutley, however, it is unknown if they had additional accomplices.

Nutley and Clifton Police continue to work together investigating these incidents. Anyone with information regarding today’s thefts are asked to contact police.
