NUTLEY, NJ - Nutley Commissioner Steven Rogers stated that the 'Decision Time is Near' regarding his run for governor of New Jersey. He made the statement in a Facebook post directed to the Citizens of New Jersey. The post was shared on the social media site at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday Nov. 27.

TAPinto Nutley first reported that Commissioner Steven L. Rogers Considers Run for Governor on Nov. 22. At the time, Rogers stated “I’m very, very seriously considering running for governor. A lot of people have been pushing it around. Its humbling, a lot of people are coming to me.”

In the post, Rogers stated that he had met with hundreds of citizens from all walks of life who are "fed-up with the establishment in Trenton and have made it very clear to us that they are ready to board the ROGERS EXPRESS." The idea of the Rogers Express borrows heavily from the 'Trump Train' metaphor used by Donald Trump.
