BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield artist Papa Gora Tall most recent work is a mural in the within the Bloomfield Bike Depot in Bloomfield Center. The project was a collaboration between the New Jersey Bike and Walk Coalition and Halcyon Park based VELO Bloomfield.

The bike depot opened earlier this year with a ribbon cutting attended by Mayor Michael Venezia and Essex County Freeholder Brendan Gill. It is the second bike depot to be built, the first is in the Bay Street Station in Montclair. Following the success of Montclair, determined by number of bikes parked in the depot daily, it was determined that the Bloomfield facility should be larger. The depot is located in the parking deck adjacent to the train station.

Tall is oringally from Senegal, and like many artists, finds Bloomfield to be a welcoming community for artists, musicians, and performers. He  describes his work as 'creating balance, spirituality, and elevation from the earth, water and air. He likes to be connected to nature and hope that his work can bring happiness to those who view it.'
