Although Nutley Police authorize special permission to park on roadway on occasion, we suspend this practice during snow emergencies, or in advance of such predictions. This practice enables snow plows to clear from curb to curb and permits emergency vehicles a lane of travel with constricted road widths.

Lastly, in the event of snowfall, icy rain, slick conditions or flooding the Public Safety Department urges non-essential travelers to stay put. Emergency responders become inundated during weather emergencies, which may result in difficulties responding to your emergency should one arise.
