NUTLEY, NJ – Fall kicked off in festive style during St. Mary's Oktoberfest 2019 on Friday evening, September 27 in the St. Mary's ‘Biergarten’ on Monsignor Owens Place, Nutley.
The third annual event, a four-hour gathering staged on a perfectly crisp Fall night, saw the grounds of St. Mary's magically transformed into a German Biergarten.
The sold-out adult event included live music, beer and wine, German food, pretzels, apple strudel and a variety of snacks and treats.
Local breweries, liquor stores, restaurants, caterers and eateries supplied the fine food and beverages and provided different unique flavors to satisfy all palates and tastes.
The 2019 affair was organized by the hardworking St. Mary's Oktoberfest Committee, including event chairpersons Brian and Melissa Blum, Brendan and Victoria McMullen, Jeff Lafoon, and Noreen Haveron.
Committee members included Dave and Jen Valdivieso, Brigette and Tom Windheim, Krysty Kaufman, Danielle DeFabbio, Stephanie Ostrowski, and Mike Botti.
A fun time was had by all during what has rapidly become a popular Fall tradition in Nutley, with many attendees already looking forward to the fourth installment next September!
