NUTLEY, NJ - Steven DiGregorio will return to the role as the Raiders head football coach starting with the 2017-2018 season. Raiders fans will recall that he was the head football coach from 2004 until 2011. DiGregorio replaces Coach Tom Basile who resigned earlier this year, after five seasons with the Raiders.
“It is a pleasure to have Coach DiGregorio back on staff,” said Nutley Athletic Director Joe Piro. “He was a role model for our student athletes and a mentor to our staff during his first tenure as coach. I look forward to watching him pick-up where he left off. The Raider Nation is excited to have him back.
In addition to his years coaching football at Nutley High School, Mr. DiGregorio has held coaching positions at Princeton High School, Paramus Catholic High School, Princeton University, Allegheny College, Paul VI High School, and James Caldwell High School.
“I am privileged and honored to be named Head Football Coach at Nutley High School,” said Mr. DiGregorio. “I look forward to working with our players, while continuing to build a program that all of the high school, the community, and the town will be proud of.”
DiGregorio has his Bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and is a 1979 graduate of Nutley High School. He currently lives in Princeton with his wife and three sons.
