NUTLEY, NJ - A Nutley police officer observed a suspicious party walking towards two vehicles on Grant Avenue around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. The individual ran towards a red Mercury and entered. Police stopped the vehicle and detected the strong odor of marijuana.

Each of the three people in the car claimed possession of the drugs that were observed.Zaida Martinez, 31, Jordan Morales, 23, and Adam Ramos, 30, all of Newark, were all placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters.

Martinez was charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana, issued motor vehicle summonses and released.

Morales was charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and released.

Ramos was found to have two active warrants out of Hillside and Newark. He was charged with two counts of Failure to Make Lawful Disposition , Possession of CDS Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, advised of his Nutley Court date. He was released on his own recognizance from the Hillside warrant. He posted the appropriate bail for the warrant out of Newark, and released from custody.
