NUTLEY, NJ - TAPinto Nutley launched their "Cats and Dogs" section this week.

The new section will focus heavily on cats and dogs, but will include other pet content as well.

One of the main features of the section will be lost and found pets. As dogs and cats don't recognize township borders, the editors will share found pet stories from neighboring towns, and will also share lost Nutley pets with the TAPinto in surrounding towns.

The Montclair Township Animal Shelter (MTAS) is the shelter that serves Nutley. Residents have become accustomed to seeing cats and kittens from MTAS at the Nutley Farmers' Market on Sundays. TAPinto Nutley will also share information about cats and kittens available for adoption.

At present, the MTAS does not have dogs available for adoption as the dog section of the shelter was severely damaged in a fire. No animals were hurt in that fire. In the meantime, TAPinto Nutley therefore help dogs from the Bloomfield Animal Shelter find forever homes in Nutley.
