The Nutley Public Library invites the community to celebrate maker culture and STEM learning with Think Make Create Week from March 15-20. A variety of activities for all ages will be available via virtual workshops throughout the entire week, including sewing, computer coding, origami, cooking, crafts and more!

Monday (3/15) at 3:30 PM: Join Ms. Lucia for a virtual sewing workshop where you can make you own unique project! For ages 7 and up. Each registration includes a kit of supplies you can pick up beforehand.

Tuesday (3/16) at 3:30 PM: Learn the beautiful art of origami from expert Nobuko Okabe in a virtual origami workshop. For ages 7 and up. Each registration includes a kit of supplies you can pick up beforehand.

Tuesday (3/16) at 5:00 PM: Mr. K shows beginners / all skill levels how to use Scratch in a fun Coding Class for grades 3-5. Students will need a computer with access to Scratch and their imagination!

Wednesday (3/17) at 3:30 PM: ShopRite of Nutley dietician Stephanie Bini shows children ages 6-12 how to make tasty and healthy treats in a delicious workshop!

Thursday (3/18) at 3:30 PM: Our monthly LEGO Club invites children in grades K-5 to unleash their creativity with a new building challenge using bricks they have at home!

Friday (3/19) at 10:30 AM: PropBox Players Presents The Old Tree, an interactive performance that will teach children of all ages about ecology and guide them as they plant a garden in their custom “propBOX”!

Friday (3/19) at 3:30 PM: Ms. Lucia hosts a special DIY activity just for teens in grades 6-12! Reserve a kit at teenservices.nutleypubliclibrary.org and join in the fun on Zoom!

Saturday (3/20) at 10:30 AM: celebrate NJ makers Day with a virtual story time! Listen to amazing stories that highlight science, tech, engineering, art and math, join in some silly games and follow along as we make a special craft at the end! For all ages.

Saturday (3/20) from 11 AM – 4 PM: Pick up a DIY Catapult kit you can make at home! One kit per child. While supplies last.
