NUTLEY, NJ - A 37 year old Nutley man is facing Possession of Marijuana charges after being discovered sleeping in the back seat of a vehicle on San Antonio Ave.

On Thursday August 9, a suspicious vehicle was reported to the Nutley Police Department. Upon arrival police officers discovered two parties asleep in the back seat of the vehicle. One of the individuals, John Crawford, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Pequannock Township. 

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a clear plastic bag of a green vegetative substance. Police were able to determine that the bag contained marijuana. Crawford was taken into police custody.

Nutley police processed Crawford, provided him with a copy of the summons, and advised him of a cout date. Detectives from Pequannock arrived at Nutley Police Headquarters and took custody of Crawford.
