TOTOWA, N.J. - This past weekend, two Passaic Valley High School alumni allegedly died after overdosing on heroin.
According to friends close to one of the victims, early Saturday morning a young woman, aged 19, was found in the bathroom of a local convenience store, after she and her alleged boyfriend stopped into the shop. After the young woman had been in the bathroom for a while, a store worker got suspicious and called police.
Earlier Sunday a young man in Little Falls was found dead at home after allegedly taking a lethal dose of heroin, according to a friend still rocked by the news.
Friends, family, and concerned residents took to social media Monday, some expressing compassion for the young adults taken too soon, some angry about the lack of coverage, and others just tired of seeing families in their community losing children.
