NUTLEY, NJ  -  A report of urinating in public led to the arrest of a Nutley man who was charged with lewdness, consumption of alcohol in a public place, and prohibited smoking in a public place. 

On June 27, Nutley police received a report of an individual urinating in municipal lot No. 1. Police discovered a local man drinking a beer, smoking a cigarette, and exposing himself as he was relieving himself. Alfred Ziegler, 54, of Nutley, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. 

He was charged with public lewdness and advised of a mandatory court date. He also received summonses for consumption of alcohol in a public place and prohibited smoking in a public place.
