Maya Angelou and the Freedom Poetry of Advent
Vincent Church will have an Advent study on Monday mornings from 9:30 - 11 on Zoom through December 21. In this Advent devotional, biblical texts and simple, accessible practices interweave with Maya Angelou’s stirring vision of faith, freedom, and dignity. Week by week, as we wait, and watch, and pray, we’ll walk toward Bethlehem - with
the poetry of Maya Angelou and scripture as our guide. Contact the Church Office for more information.
Christmas Eve Services
Vincent United Methodist will hold two services on Christmas Eve, December 24. The Family Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom. It will include the lighting of the Advent and Christ Candles, carols, scripture, prayer, the sharing of the Christmas story, and Service of Candlelighting. Families will be invited to participate from their homes and all
are encouraged to have a candle to light. Those interested can contact the Church Office for the Meeting ID. The Candlelight Service will be held at 11:00 p.m. in the sanctuary and broadcast on Facebook Live. The service will include carols, scriptures, special music, a Christmas sermon, and a modified Service of Candlelighting. Whichever
service fits one’s schedule or style, all are cordially invited to come with family and friends to join the Vincent Church family in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
